The main goal of the Lifeworld Approach is to provide care and education.
Care for people diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Education for nurses, other health care professionals, and family carer(s) who want to provide a holistic person-centred care approach.
Lifeworld provides access to an approach to care and education that has been developed through a 10-year research project focused on Interpreting the Meaning of Existence for a Person with Motor Neurone Disease, and their family carer(s). Findings are published in peer-reviewed nursing and palliative care journals. A temporal model of care has been developed to understand what is important for the person, whether that is their lived-through past, experienced present, or anticipated future. We are here to support communication for people at end of life.
